Collection: Forks

So you want to upgrade your fork!  It can really change the performance of your bike.  If you are new to this though just remember a few things...

1. Can your frame support more travel? Usually 10mm plus or minus your stock travel will be fine but if unsure, check with the frame manufacturer first.

2. Wheel Size Technically you can go bigger (ie 29er for on 27.5) but it can affect the handling and you'll have a bigger gap under the lower leg brace.

3. Frame Steerer Tube Most beginner bikes still have straight steerers which is fine for most but you are limited on options.  If you do an external lower cup adaptor, you can then get a tapered fork (but almost always will have a thru axle so would need new front wheel if you have quick release)

4. Bigger stanchions doesn't mean better  Some new riders think the bigger diameter or number means a better fork.  It depends on your use case.  Bigger you go, the heavier they are.  Before you go too big, make sure you actually need it

5. Axles You have Boost 110mm thru axles, 100mm thru axles, and QR.  There are some adaptors that allow you to make thru axles work with QR, but not the other way around
